All explorers UNITE.

As a computer engineering undergraduate, I have learnt a lot of different things over the past 3 and a half years and one thing that I never expected was to find out the convergence of so many different domains into the final product of a COMPUTER and its studies. They include algorithms, communication, designing, the study of intelligence and lot more. Over the years there has definitely been an exponential growth that has added more and more to whatever has been done, yet I feel that with so many modern systems and devices for disposal my learning lacks adaptiveness. By the term adaptive I want to convey a sense of self-taught exploration beyond my own field. I was one of the most curious pupils in the school who questioned a lot and tried to find answers, however over the course of my studies there has been more structure to my curiosities and I miss the old explorer in me. Through this blog, I want to accustom myself towards different trends in our era and keep posting about whatever I learn. On this journey of exploration, I call forth anyone who is interested in science and technology, in general, to put forward their points and be part of a healthy discussion that moves towards our progressive future.

I have done research work in computer science which makes me pine to learn more because I see a wide array of fields and applications that can still be developed and not only computers, the front of scientific growth and development is still wide open as it was when Einstein discovered relativity, only now we need to be more focused than ever. I can put forth an example, recently, I listened to the interview of liver scientist Auinash Kalsotra here, he discusses the fascinating work that is being done to find out nature’s secret behind liver regeneration. The process involves the transformation of adult liver cells to child cells and regeneration follows. It is this stimulus that scientists are interested in finding out, a real ‘Fountain of Youth’. We all are familiar with its tales and the stories associated with the exploration of such a place where people dive in to restore their youth, but all along the answers might be hidden within us.

It really amazes me how many such secrets are lying there to be unravelled and our generation needs a touch of optimism for unthinkable future that existed in the 20th century but more of that in a later post.
